Odourless Durians
Odorless durian raises a stink TUNG PHAEN, Thailand: You can take the sugar out of soft drinks and the fat from junk food. But eliminate the pungent odor from the world's smelliest fruit and brace for a major international controversy.
After three decades of research, a Thai government scientist working at an orchard here near the Cambodian border says he has managed to take the stink out of durian.
The spiky Southeast Asian fruit, variously described by its detractors as smelling like garbage, moldy cheese or rotting fish, is banned from many hotels, airlines and the Singapore subway. But durian lovers, and there are many in Asia, are convinced that, like fine French cheeses, the worse the smell, the better the taste.
Songpol Somsri, one of the world's leading experts on the fruit, crossed more than 90 varieties, many of them found only in the wild, and came up with what he calls Chantaburi No. 1, after his home province and the location of the research center...

Poll Time!
I've been receiving negative comments about my blogspot blog, to be more specific, the occurances of pop-ups when using IE to access it. Is the problem that bad?

Guess what?
Her name's Diane. =) The name of Claire was indeed for inheritance, but a sense of propriety, and discretion ruled it a most inappropriate candidate. Not too long ago, there was a fairy tale. Witty, intelligent and lovable; How can one fault another for wanting to posses? Cheerful, caring, in other words full of life. Personality overflowing, though somehwat lacking in maturity. Nevertheless, wonderfully a perfect combination. An apt description is "like a dream". Then daybreak came. *yawn*

la donna e mobile
Caught Viva Verdi at the Esplande on Friday with Nicky. (Welcome back Nicky!!) This particular rendition of la donna e mobile by the Tenor, Lee Jae Wook was subliminal. The expression, the singing and the feeling had the audience captivated. In his grasp and control were we all whilst he sang that comical piece. In concluding, a praline was offered to a member of the audience, the apparent object of his affection. Wonderful! Cheeky! Here's the song performed at another time and aother place.

Language
Ignorance is bliss, and blissful are those who choose. Whereas certainty is merely a measure of conviction. Conviction needs to be unwavering and steadfast in face of the truth. Intelligent, witty and seeing right through the veiled words is something vaguely enticing and refreshingly unexpected. Shocking, but reinforcing the conclusion that was arrived upon initially. Richly rewarded are the patience and never forgotten are those who persevere. Word games are immensely enjoyable. Agree?--- Music: Claude Debussy - Clair de Lune

Late night radio
A lovely song to share with all those who are still awake at this hour. The impending eams, no doubt the source of much frustration, but persevere, the fruits are waiting to be reaped at the end of this trying time. Way back into love (Music and Lyrics) I've been living with a shadow overhead I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed I've been lonely for so long Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away Just in case I ever need em again someday I've been setting aside time To clear a little space in the corners of my mind All I want to do is find a way back into love I can't make it through without a way back into love Oh oh oh I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine I've been searching but I just don't see the signs I know that it's out there There's got to be something for my soul somewhere I've been looking for someone to shed some light Not just somebody just to get me throught the night I could use some direction And I'm open to your suggestions All I want to do is find a way back into love I can't make it through without a way back into love And if I open my heart again I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end There are moments when I don't know if it's real Or if anybody feels the way I feel I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation All I want to do is find a way back into love I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you I'm hoping you'll show me what to do And if you help me to start again You know that I'll be there for you in the end

Reiteration
I think I once created a big fuss over this. Let me reiterate once again. I do not take scraps. Fate, destiny, luck, you can move along and pack up the decidely undesirable offers that you tempt me with. And in good taste and amicable faith that we part ways. You dearest trio owe me a debt, explanations never repaid. Have it known I am an impatient person, and wearing thin is my good composure.

Free Hugs
Free Hugs Campaign Wiki entry The concept is simple, you offer hugs to random people around you.No rewards, no strings attached. If you did it in Singapore, an arrest warrant would follow suit. Nonetheless, it's heart warming to know that ingenius people came up with this idea. Just like the concept of paying it forward. One good dea is paid forward in the form of another for someone else.

Little caterpillar
Little caterpillar slowly crawl, mint coloured surface along the iron halls. Dodging and escaping, moving unscathed. Lady luck blessing and smiling from high. Just for a while. Little caterpillar bit me hard. Caught me rather quite off guard. Little caterpillar is no more. Now a brown stain on the floor.

Smashing 22nd
I love my Archery team-mates! Thanks for the wonderful surprise. =3 You guys even sang a birthday song for me in the food court! OMG. Arcade action, catching Letters from Iwo Jima. The view from the Japanese during the conflict of World War II. Both sides are huuman afterall, and both sides are equaly guilty of crimes and atrocities. In war, right or wrong belongs to the victor to define. But that's a little deep for my Birthday. =p Here I want to thank many many people! Liming for being the first well wisher. Bro, I really miss you. It's been ages since we met up. Of course, Shang May the 1st Singaporean to wish me happy birthday. Jorcelyn and Weiqiang for the midnight special deliveries. Next, the hunky guys from archery, Aaron, Edmund, Noel, Sky and Mark! Not to forget Janice with her mid-day sms, and Cheryl, shortly after. Oh, and Claire, for singing me a birthday song with that beautiful voice of yours. Tim and Selena thanks for the well wishes! We must meet up someday too. And of course, my bestest pals Nicky and Houf and Shermy too! Amidst all the well wishes and messages, it is clear that I have wonderful friends.
