Small world changes fast

If microcosm are inevitable, it enforces the view that society tends towards order; Eliminating chaos to create structure. In essence, humans seek to create a closed ecology within the confine of its comfort zones. Naturally, a organized environment is beneficial to the survival of humans, if the variables could be moderated to provide a constant, moderation of the factors opposing life becomes easier.

However, a closed community runs the danger of isolation. Random factors constantly force interaction with elements outside the system. Physical and ideological interaction. If changes took years, this is hardly a concern, but this is the age of rapid changes. Days are enough.

I for one find it exceedingly hard to keep updated with the general and current events. It is a conflict of interests at times, to stay engrossed in the immediate or to take a step back and see things from a wider perspective.

A wider perspective would be preferable, but the constant pressure to perform edges one on to become over-engrossed in the present problems. "It's just for the 2 years, it's just for the moment". Eventually it extends to include the rest of your life.

We can't afford to ignore everything around us, but in trying to accomodate the world is nigh impossible. Balance is paramount.
